1940s Venturer
Relax and Enjoy
New for 2011 is the 1940s River Dart Venturer. This fabulous combination day trip will take you back to a time when we took things much slower. For the first stage of your journey you will embark from Torquay or Brixham and join the 1940s WW II heritage ship ‘Fairmile’ for your voyage to the historic port of Dartmouth. Whilst travelling aboard a true piece of England’s maritime heritage you will be viewing the beautiful South Devon coastline with full live commentary from the Captain.
When reaching Dartmouth you will disembark for 3½ hours. Later in the afternoon you board our river vessel ‘Christie Belle’ to cruise up the River Dart past historic points to the quaint village of Dittisham ready for the final stage of your voyage, a trip on ‘Barnaby’ our 1940s original vintage bus, taking you home to your original departure point in 1940s style. Fare includes all three modes of transport.
