REDUCED FARES FOR 2013
Until further notice we will be offering a huge reduction on fares for this service by ship from just £7.50 return. Take advantage of this wonderful offer and enjoy the astounding beauty of the English Riviera and serene River Dart.
One of our most asked questions, Why are some of our fares so discounted? The simple answer is our local company is being aggressively targeted by a PLC company which holds the monopoly of river travel from Dartmouth & Totnes. They have slashed fares in Torbay where our main operation base is in what we believe to be a clear intention to take our company out of business with the loss of around 40 local jobs, unique services and choice. Our family run company is defending its position against this aggressive action and has decided to publicise the same discounts offered by our competitor in our area of operation so we too have matched fares whilst proving a far superior service aboard the largest sea going ship sailing in the area. Our company is home to the last remaining WWII Fairmile B which is unique and the last one of its kind in operation today. This direct attempt at damaging our company will place this unique vessel at risk. We have not taken our decisions lightly and do not favour this form of retaliation, however we have been left with little choice – Torbay does not need a monopoly much like that on the River Dart with sky high fares, therefore please support your local company.
