'Riviera Belle

Ply's between Torquay / Brixham to Dartmouth & Greenway 80 Passengers + crew 1972

Still In Service 'Riviera Belle' is currently our largest and only steel vessel. She was orginally built by HM Customs at Bideford for patrol around the Falmouth area under her old name 'Guardwell'. She was sold to Scotland and worked on Loch Lomand for some time after returning to Devon. We purchased her in 2006 and renamed her 'Riviera Belle' after she underwent an extensive refit. She now works in Torbay and the River Dart and provides special day cruises in conjunction with private charters and other special events and has a licensed bar onboard.

Torquay Belle

Torquay to Brixham Ferry

73 Passengers + crew 1966

Still In Service 'Torquay Belle' is a famous passenger boat which was built in Guernsey by C.P Wilson. She was built after Mr Wilson completed a study on Sea Gulls and wanted to recreate a vessel which was as safe as a Gull on water. Hence her unusual styling. A children's book was written titled 'Tales of Teddy Typhoon' as well as being host to the Duke of Edinburgh who travelled on her whilst in Guernsey. 'Typhoon' being her previous name and to this day continues to provide a ferry service from Brixham to Torquay. She has a licensed bar on board and is licensed throughout Torbay, the River Dart and Exmouth. In 2008 she underwent a full refit.

Dartmouth Belle

Dartmouth to Greenway Ferry 40 Passengers + crew 1966

Still In Service 'Dartmouth Belle' a traditional clinker passenger boat was built in 1966 by 'Ferry Boat Builders' in Felixstowe, Suffolk. She was a purpose built passenger carrying vessel formally known as 'Fredrick William' the 'The Swan' by ourselves. When first commissioned she was used for angling at sea from Yarmouth & Felixstowe as was her sister boat. Later in her life she moved to Allington, was renamed 'The Swan' and became famous as a passenger vessel on Allington Lock operating from the 'Malta Inn', Waterman's Park and Maidstone's town centre. We purchased her in April 2005 when she became the Dartmouth to Greenway Ferry carrying passengers to Agatha Christies Greenway Garden. She is also used for private charters and for river cruises to the 'Malsters Arms' in Bow Creek, Tuckenhay and trips to Sharpham Vineyard (06) whilst also available for private hire. The Swan carries 40 passengers licensed by the Maritime Coastguard Agency and has weather cover. Throughout most of her life she seems to have had strong connections with taking passengers to 'Pubs', most people can remember travelling on her but several can't! 'Dartmouth Belle' remains in service providing green transport along the jewel of Devon's crown the River Dart and is licensed all year round. She departs from Greenway Quay & Dartmouth with a free link from Dittisham when boarding her. The Swan is the only passenger vessel currently providing a direct link from Dartmouth to Greenway Gardens, the quickest most direct route.

Bay Belle

42 Passengers + crew 1947

Still In Service 'Bay Belle' a traditional carvel passenger boat was built in 1947 by Dixons of Exmouth. She is the longest running original passenger boat in Torbay which is still in service. Originally called 'Bonnie Boys' she has done many things in here time which include Ferry work, Mackerel Fishing and Bay Cruises. Today she continues all those roles in addition to working on the River Dart as one of the largest small boats. She is a piece of the past which has been maintained to a high standard and a joy to have in our fleet.

Dittisham Belle

12 Passengers + crew 1982

Still In Service 'Dittisham Belle' a local traditional varnished clinker passenger launch was built by 'Clifford Adams' of East Looe, Cornwall. She was a purpose built passenger launch formally known as 'Sara' used between Looe and Looe Island in Cornwall for several years. Her sister vessel 'Lisa K' is still in operation providing a summer service. We purchased her in January 2006 and was licensed under the new Inland Waterways Code for day and night use carrying 12 passenger, all year round on the River Dart. She will be used as the relief 'Greenway to Dittisham Ferry' and for our new exclusive cruises to Sharpham Vineyard for 'Trek & Taste' and Stoke Gabriel for Cream Teas at the 'Gabriel Court Hotel'. She is also available for private hire and has plenty of room. She departs from Greenway Quay, Dittisham, Dartmouth & Totnes.

Greenway Bell

12 Passengers + crew 1990

Still In Service 'Greenway Bell' a local traditional clinker passenger launch was built by 'J Hinks & Son' in Appledore, North Devon. Previously know as 'Puffin' & 'Pathfinder', she was used as a hire launch from Dartmouth for some time then was sold and left the river. She returned in 2005 when we purchased her for use as the famous 'Greenway to Dittisham Ferry' which is still summoned by ringing the bell on either side of the river. Hence her name change to 'Greenway Bell'. Licensed under the Inland Waterways Code she carries 12 people during the Summer and reduced numbers in the winter. 'Greenway Bell' is the company's work horse, so when you come aboard tell her what a good boat she is!
